Welcome to Ardent Enthusiast, a dc Talk archive created by the fans, for the fans. We are proud to be celebrating our 5 year anniversary this month and want to thank all the loyal supporters that have inspired us to maintain AE since its founding in 1997. Well, it's more like FREAK means
Ardent Enthusiast.
During the Freakshow tour, Toby would introduce the song 'Jesus Freak' by saying that he had looked up 'freak' in the dictionary, and one of the definitions was 'an ardent enthusiast.' For us, it has a dual meaning - a 'freak' for Jesus, and also a 'freak' for dc Talk.
