CL MarkM:  I'll be interviewing Mike, Toby and Kevin from the stage when we
start. I'm an editor with Campus Life magazine, and dc Talk will be on our

CO Emcee:  Welcome, everyone, to Christianity Online and to the Odeon!   We're
excited to have with us tonight Toby McKeechan, Michael Tait, and Kevin Max of
dc Talk!  We also have with us Mark Moring of Campus Life Magazine  Do you
have any opening comments for us before we get started?
CL MarkM:	Hi, CO Emcee. Glad to be here. Hi, Toby, Mike and Kevin!  And hello
to all you dc Talk fans!  We're excited to get started  Before I start
interviewing the guys, I gotta tell everybody that dc Talk will be featured on
the cover of CAMPUS LIFE magazine in our November/December issue. I chatted
with them for the story, and they all had some cool things to say about the
record and themselves.

CO dcTalk: Hello to everyone - Dc Talk
CO dcTalk: K - Wazzup K-Max in the house
CO dcTalk: T - What up...What up...no sleep til Brooklyn!
CO dcTalk: M - What up?
CL MarkM:	Hey, Toby, Mike and Kevin! Glad you guys are here!
CO dcTalk: dc Talk - Thanks for having us here!
CL MarkM:	Guys, ready for some questions from me?
CO dcTalk: T, M, K - YEah  Let's go!
CL MarkM:	OK, tell us about the new record. Why are you excited about it?
CO dcTalk: M - I believe it's our best record to date
CL MarkM:	Guys, why's it called Supernatural?
CO dcTalk: T - Because umm... there is a realm unseen that interests the world
CL MarkM:	Talk about that "realm" a bit. What do you mean?
CO dcTalk: K - It's a spiritual plane as well as a physical plane
CO dcTalk: T - God is there and he is watching  The signs are everywhere...
God is there there's no denying... It's Supernatural...  That's the chorus to
the title track and that about says it all
CL MarkM:	I hear ya, Toby. Where are you guys seeing God these days in your
lives?
CO dcTalk: M - I am see in God... In the trees...seriously...I have been
noticing them for real.. In Toby's new baby's eyes... And most
importantly...move in my life
CO dcTalk: K - Through my wife
CL MarkM:	That's right. Congratulations, Toby, on your new baby!
CO dcTalk: T - Thanks
CL MarkM:	Can you tell us his name?
CO dcTalk: T - Truett Foster enetered the world 11 Days ago...  And he is a
Godsend
CL MarkM:	"Godsend," eh? There's a song on the record by that title, right?
CO dcTalk: M - Yes that's right
CL MarkM:	What's that song about?
CO dcTalk: T - God bringing a person n your life.. His plan is perfect and His
timing is perfect
CO dcTalk: M - Everybody can relate to God bringing a person in your life that
Really touches there lives in a significant way
CL MarkM:	Your last album, "Jesus Freak" (1995), was such a huge success,
commercially and critically.  Do you guys feel any kind of pressure to follow
that up with something even better?
CO dcTalk: K - Only from you Mark!!!!
CO dcTalk: K - :)
CL MarkM:	K, You da man! ;)
CO Emcee: LOL
CO dcTalk: K - It could be intimidating, But we're looking at it as another
great challenge
CL MarkM:	"Supernatural" is being released on two labels ...  ForeFront and
Virgin (for Christian and mainstream markets) What's the significance of the
Virgin record deal?
CO dcTalk: K - Virgin allows us the opportunity to bringMusic to the masses
CL MarkM:	Question for each guy: What's your favorite song on the album.
CO dcTalk: M - I've got two
CL MarkM:	What are they, Mike?
CO dcTalk: M - Consume Me and probably Supernatural
CL MarkM:	I dig both of those songs. Consume Me is beautiful, haunting.
CO dcTalk: T - My favorite is Dive and Into Jesus and Consume Me
CL MarkM:	And you, Kevin?
CO dcTalk: K - Seriously, Fearless and Dive
CL MarkM:	OK, follow-up question. What's special about those songs? Mike, talk
about Consume Me
CO dcTalk: M - It's a fun song for me because it's passionate And I love
singing it..  And the Holy Spirit Consuming us
CL MarkM:	Toby, you mentioned "Dive" and "Into Jesus." Talk about one of 'em,
pleeez.
CO dcTalk: T - I'll talk about dive..  I love commiting and Dive talks about
Making a decision...which I'm very slow about It forces my perfectionist mind
to make a move..  It's about the day I dove into God's arms
CL MarkM:	I hear ya. Many of us can relate to that.
CL MarkM:	Kevin, any words on "Fearless"? BTW, I'm listening to that right
now!
CO dcTalk: K - It's the Hey Jude of the record...  It's a great stock rock and
roll song
CL MarkM:	It sure is! I'm listening to the fade-out now, and that's exactly
what it is!
CL MarkM:	Question for each of the guys ....
CO dcTalk: dc Talk - Great
CL MarkM:	Toby, Mike and Kevin, what's God been teaching each of you lately?
Supernaturally, of course!
CO dcTalk: M - Patience
CO dcTalk: T - Patience
CO dcTalk: K - Dittos
CO Emcee: hmmm me thinks you have experienced some trials then too =]
CO Emcee: am I right?
CO dcTalk: M - This past year family members passed away...  the stress of
making a record
CO Emcee: wow...I'm sorry!
CO dcTalk: T - If I don't spend time in God's words...I have none...nor do I
have any other of the fruits of the spirit.
CO dcTalk: K - Selfishness, pride
CL MarkM:	Speaking of God's words, there's a wonderful new song called "Red
Letters."  On the new album, that is.
CO dcTalk: K - Struggling with the inability to be disciplined in the Word
CO Emcee: Kevin, I hear that...we all pray for more desire and discipline
CL MarkM:	Let's hear their questions, CO!

CO Emcee: Dcmxpx: 23:46  Toby, I have a theory on how you named little Truett
Foster McKeehan.  I remember back in the day, the saying, "True to the T"...Is
that how Truett's name came to be?
CO dcTalk: T - I've always been fascinated with truth and Truett means TRUTH I
was once also called True MC.. Not a bad guess...I may use that one
CO Emcee: awesome prayer for child too that they live walking in the Truth.
CO dcTalk: T - Yeah

anniversary of your first album, planning anything special?  10 years is a

CO Emcee: Luv is a Verb asks who is the most influential Christian in your
life?
CL MarkM:	Great question!
CO dcTalk: T - Oswald Chambers...but obviously he's not alive.  His writings
live on
CO dcTalk: K - Ravi Zacharias
CO Emcee: wow great =]
CO dcTalk: K - He's a philospoher
CO dcTalk: M - Dan Pitts my manager!!!
CO dcTalk: K - There is a lack of positive role models and a God absent
environment
CO Emcee: I agree
CO dcTalk: TMK - We do too
CO Emcee: Hydrochic1: 23:28  Why do you think that some youth these days are
ashamed of God, their their  beliefs and christianity. What advice would you
give to a youth  in order for them to keep their faith strong?
CO dcTalk: M - Stay in the Word and on your knees
CO dcTalk: T - Choose friends that will walk with you and hold each other
accountable
CL MarkM:	Good words, guys! Advice we can all live by.
CO Emcee: do you hold each other accountable?
CO dcTalk: M - Yes
CO dcTalk: T - Painfully so
CO dcTalk: K - As much as we can bare
CO Emcee: that's really great to hear you say that
CO Emcee: Reality15: 23:31  In your song, " What if I stumble". is this a
song, in which you expressed your ongoing pressure to be perfect?
CL MarkM:	Great questions from the audience!
CO dcTalk: K - We could never imagine attaining perfection in anyway
CO dcTalk: M - Afterall, life is just a pursut of holines
