6/23/04 Third Book From Toby and Mike, Under God.
Bethany House, the same publishing company that released the million-sellers Jesus Freaks and Jesus Freaks II, is partnering once again with Toby and Michael to release the 360+ page Under God which urges readers to take their stand for America's future by examining our past. Using unforgettable accounts of both famous and little-known Americans, Under God examines the stories of men and women who forged our nation. Against these, they pair the dark side of America's legacy—racism, slavery, injustice—in order that a new generation might seek God's face and avoid repeating sins of the past. Under God will be available everywhere mid-October 2004.

4/25/04 Michael To Sing on Santana Tour.
The following is an official press release forwarded to us from our friend Jessica Folkins in Nashville...
Michael Tait, one of the most respected vocalists in the contemporary Christian genre, has been invited to tour Europe with the legendary rock guitarist Carlos Santana. "It is a great honor for me to accept a vocalist position with music legend Carlos Santana," says Michael Tait. "To even be asked to join with one of the greatest artists in the history of rock and roll is humbling to say the least. I did not pursue this and was blown away when he called... Carlos has been so gracious; he has even asked me to perform two TAIT songs in the live show." Michael Tait will make his debut with Santana when the band kicks off its upcoming European tour on July 2 in France. The tour will also make stops in Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Michael will additionally take part in the recording of a new Carlos Santana studio album to be released later in 2004, with a U.S. tour reportedly in the works for next spring.

2/1/04 Kevin Max Announces Divorce. Kevin Max recently announced this on his message board... First of all i want to take the time to thank all of you for praying for me and supporting me on these boards over the last couple of years. It means alot to hear you speaking about issues of merit and communicating to new people about my music and my words. The live shows have been rejuvinating to me and i have been constantly encouraged by all of the strange and wonderful assortment of people who come out. I have been making great strides in Los Angeles to break my music to a brand new audience as well as the poetry and my beliefs. It has been a joy for me to be able to escape the bubble of Nashville and to really begin to progress with my music and poetry. We are now meeting with labels and the business about the new songs and not one meeting has gone bad. Everyone here seems to think the songs are strong and that the direction is a profitable one. In life you can't believe everything you hear but it is encouraging to me that the music has not fallen on deaf ears as of yet. The main part of this message is to clear up some questions that have been cropping up for some time now. The question of my marriage to Alayna and where it stands has been asked of me over and over again and i feel the need to tell you as my friends and supporter's the truth of the matter. I spoke to Alayna about it and she was willing to let me speak about it to you. The truth is as an artist i have always been very outspoken about most of my private life but when it comes to a marriage bond, some things should remain in privacy. However after much prayer and thought i wanted to let you know that Alayna and i are no longer married. We both made the decision after much counseling by pastor's and spiritual guidance counselor's. We have been divorced for awhile now but did not feel the need to expose it to the public. We are still friends and constantly praying for God's direction in both of our lives. The decision was mutual and was also made out of love and not hate, we continue to keep in touch and invite your prayers for the both of us. I am sorry that this email is so heavy and i am sure it will have repercussion in my personal life and business but i am confident that the Lord's will is active in this situation. Thank you for being my friends and understanding me through all of this. I am in a better place lately and i believe that i have been healing, i am constantly surrounded by people who care and have a vested interest in my life. I constantly am in awe at the grace and mercy that the Lord shows us. As far as the future i am positive that my music as well as my words have a place in this world. much love KMAX
