9/10/03 It's been a while...
Lots of news to recap, forgive me for not being around to do it, school's killin' me. First up, Tait: The Hero soundtrack is officially out, I heard a couple roughs a couple months back, but haven't given the finished product a listen. Nonetheless I hear it's awesome, so give it a look. Tait's album is coming as well, dropping November 4th. The album, Lose this Life, is supposed to be awesome and there's a clip up on TaitBand.com that's very impressive. Toby's going on tour with Kirk Franklin (J-Train live, anyone?) in the early fall, October - November. Hit up tobyMac.com for the tour dates. KevinMax.com has up some photos from Kevin's European/Brazillian tour, be sure to check those out. In addition, he'll be playing the Hard Rock: Beverly on September 25, at 7 p.m.

6/18/03 It's been a while...
Long time since news has been updated. Things has been a little slow, but now we're on the verge of the release of Remix: Momentum, which drops next week, the 24th to be exact. Check it out when you can. I've taken a personal liking to Love is in the House. Acccording to a recent interview with CCM magazine, Toby's also begun work on the followup to Momentum!

Tait's working on an album as well, however they seem to be having a bit of trouble choosing a name, so head over to Taitband.com to vote for one of the proposed names. While there, check out Lonnie-Cam for some in studio pictures.

Kevin's over in Europe touring, as soon as more dates become available, we'll toss 'em up for you. According to the site Kevin's done some preliminary work on his next CD and I, personally, can't wait for it.

4/15/03 The Hardway: Revisited Music Video?
Haven't seen this posted anywhere and I was just made aware of it, so I thought I'd let you guys know. Corey has submitted an easter egg on the Free At Last: The Movie DVD. If you go to the "extras" menu, go down to "credits" and press down once more you will highlight a hidden button which wil take you to a music video set to The Hardway: Revisited. It's actually a pretty fun video to watch, all old footage, most of which I, personally, have not seen before. Give it a look, it's great for nostalgia.

3/10/03 Mark Townsend Resurfaces!
Hey guys, just got word that Mark Townsend is back and along with him? Zilch! You may remember Zilch releasing an album way back in '97. They were composed of basically dc Talk's touring band. Shortly thereafter they disappeared. Well, they are back, but with a different lineup. The only dc Talk link to the band is Mark, who is the frontman. They are playing tomorrow night (March 11) in Columbus Ohio with Releint K and a couple other bands to celebrate Relient K's new release. If you're in the area, give it a look. Mark can whale. For more information, check out Zilch's website.

1/14/03 Dove Noms Announced Today
Nominations for the 34th annual Dove Awards were announced this morning in Nashville, Tennesee. Toby received 6 nods in 5 different categories. The GMA actually totals his noms at 9, tying for the most with Smitty and Kirk Franklin, because he is the artist and songwriter of the 3 nominated songs. He's up against himself in the Rap/Hip-Hop/Dance Recorded Song of the Year for "Irene" AND "J-Train." He's also up for Artist of the Year, Modern Rock/Alternative Recorded Song of the Year for "Get this Party Started," and Long Form Music Video for the Momentum DVD. "Irene" will also be competing for Short Form Music Video of the Year, against the artsy-cool video for "Existence," Kmax's sole but very much deserved nomination. The awards show will take place April 10 at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in downtown Nashville.

1/02/03 Happy New Year
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! There's lots to look forward to for dc talk fans this year. Forefront is releasing a remix album on January 28 that will include new mixes of "Socially Acceptable," "Alibi," and "Somebody's Watching Me." Toby, Tait, and Kevin are all currently working on new solo albums to be released sometime this year. Tait will be touring starting January 10 with the Winter Jam crew. And, if you haven't purchased it yet, go get yourself a copy of the Free at Last CD/DVD combo. The CD has a new remix of "The Hardway" as well as some fun audio commentary tracks. The movie is a gem and a must-have for all dct fans. So sit back, enjoy the New Year, and remember that the best way to become a part of the ae community is to join the forums. More news as it comes ...
