Ardent Enthusiast has been online since 1997. Since the purchase of the DNS 'ardent-enthusiast.com' in August of 1998, we have become a CCM Magazine proclaimed "comprehensive cyber-headquarters" for fans around the world. The current design is the fourth incarnation of the site, created to celebrate ardent-enthusiast.com's 5-year anniversary. We try to make this site as comprehensive and up-to-date as possible, while honoring dc Talk, their management, all dc Talk fans, and, above all else, God.
What We're Here For:
What you see before you is a collaborative effort between everyone who was involved with Jessica Folkins' Unofficial dc Talk website & dc net talk newsletter, Josh Rosentreter's allThings dc Talk..., Adrian Pratt's dc Talk FAQ, Jonathan Gainey's C.O.P.S. Hideout, and Chris Hayner's Supernatural Supersite.
Ardent Enthusiast
was originally created back in 1997 by Jessica, Josh, and Adrian who were joined later by Jonathan and Chris in 1998 and finally Jimmy in 2003. Adrian is presently running his own delirious site. Jessica and Josh went on to run dctalk.com for almost two years, while Jessica currently maintains tobymac.com and taitband.com. Thanks Jessica for your time, creative efforts, and friendship since the beginning.
Everything located at
Ardent Enthusiast
has been collected over the years by dc Talk fans from around the world. The site is never finished, however, so please continue to check back for updates and additions. dc Talk's music continues to be an asset to our musical and spiritual lives, as a group and as solo artists. And remember that beyond all the pictures, samples, movies, news articles, and other assorted propaganda, there is a group who we feel is honestly seeking God's face. Oh, and the music rocks too. Yeah, the music rocks too!
Ardent Enthusiast means...
Well, it's more like FREAK means
Ardent Enthusiast.
During the Freakshow tour, Toby would introduce the song 'Jesus Freak' by saying that he had looked up 'freak' in the dictionary, and one of the definitions was 'an ardent enthusiast.' For us, it has a dual meaning - a 'freak' for Jesus, and also a 'freak' for dc Talk.
Our Fair Use Policy:
Many many hours of work have gone into this website. It is made for your enjoyment. Please respect us by not taking any of our stuff and putting it somewhere else on the web. This includes everything you see on æ - our images, our html files, our movie and sound files, etc. If you like what we have here and want others to see it, simply link to
Ardent Enthusiast,
don't duplicate it. The only way we have to enforce this is to not link to sites which have duplicated anything from ours or someone else's site. Other than that, we are trusting you to be fair and Christ-like. You may download whatever you want for your personal use, but please do not put it somewhere else on the internet. Thank you, and God bless.
