February 2004 - tobyMac tours with Third Day and Warren Barfield.
The first leg of this huge tour will kick of on April 8 in Jackson, TN. The tour will hit about 28 cities through the end of May, and pick up again in the fall. Tour dates are now online at Third Day's website. On a side note, Warren Barfield went to high school with AE webmaster, Jonathan Gainey. So good job buddy on making it big time!
July 2002 - Kevin Max No Longer Playing Christian Music Festivals.
Before his Cornerstone performance
Kevin Max stated in a press conference that he would no longer book solo shows at Christian
Music festivals, instead he plans to reach out to the gay community and other audiences who
have been left behind by the church. This is an interesting choice on Kevin's part and it should
be interesting to see how others react to his decision. Kevin will continue to play throughout
Europe over the summer, check out his website for the
tour dates.
March 2002 - Tait and tobyMac launch tours, Kmax adds dates.
As
the Evening with dc Talk tour winds down, Tait and tobyMac
have announced more 2002 tour dates, starting in March and continuing
throughout the summer. Tait will open for other bands and headline
some shows, Toby will be on tour with Out of Eden and John Reuben.
Kevin Max will also be playing some dates here and there this
summer. Keep checking in as we'll add dates as soon as we get
them.
January 2002 - An Evening with dc Talk kicks off this month.
Some
of the fall tour dates have been rescheduled for a reworked tour
that kicks off in Fairfax, VA on January 19th. The set will be
mostly dc Talk songs with solo sets from each of the guys woven
in. There will not be an opening band since the show is already,
technically, four different artists.
October 2, 2001 - Fall tour postponed.
This
just in: we began to receive news earlier today that some of dc
Talk's fall dates were cancelled or postponed, according to Ticketmaster
and some venues. iTickets.com is reporting that all of the dates
have been postponed, with more information to follow. We will
let you know as soon as we have official word on this news, as
well as information regarding the reason for postponement.

September 9, 2001 - Mark Townsend Takes A Final Bow.
First Otto Price, now Mark Townsend! What's going on?? Well, it seems Mark has finally finished the dcTalk tour circuit in
order to pursue a few of his other options. Recently, he has been busy producing Relient K's latest release (The Anatomy of the
Tongue in Cheek), and it was mentioned at his final performance that he may take some time to teach a few guitar lessons. The
announcement that it was Mark's last show came from Toby McKeehan at the end of yesterday's House Party 2001 (Raleigh, NC).
This was followed by Mark showing off his guitar skills one more time as he played "Love Rollercoaster" and a little "Jesus Freak" for
old times sake. Mark will be missed greatly but we all wish him the best of luck in all he does in the future! And to Tony Levin who is
now filling in Mark's spot on the tour, we look forward to seeing you on the road buddy!
July 30, 2001 - Otto bids farewell to dc Talk.
We have learned that Otto "Sugarbear" Price has parted ways with
dc Talk's touring ensemble to spend more time producing and with
his family. Otto was last seen playing with the guys during GMA
week when he hurt his ankle (which has since healed completely).
dc Talk, as well as us here at Ardent-Enthusiast, send our best wishes and blessings to Otto
as he starts this new chapter in his life. We miss you already
Otto!
January 2001 - dc Talk To Tour Festivals
Well, after a lengthy intermission it looks as if dc Talk
will hit the road once again. The guys are playing the summer
festival circuit around the country and hopefully will come to
a city near you. Be sure to get out there and welcome the guys
back if you get a chance!
